Over 420 Articles by Palestine Chronicle Founder Published on Hamas-Run Platform
Ramzy Baroud’s publication employed a 'correspondent' who held Israelis hostage for eight months, while his work appeared extensively on a Hamas-run platform
Since 2016, over 420 articles by Ramzy Baroud—the founder and head of the Palestine Chronicle, whose “correspondent” was a Hamas terrorist who held Israelis hostage in his home for eight months—have been published on the Hamas-run Palestinian Information Center (PIC) wesbite.
Of those 420 pieces, roughly 90 were written after the Hamas-led October 7th massacre. The most recent piece published on the site is dated February 11, 2025.
It appears as though Ramzy’s pieces appear in outlets like the PIC, the Middle East Monitor, the Palestine Chronicle, of course, and his own personal website. The order of outlets that publish differes in each case.
It’s important to understand that this type of arrangement doesn’t happen by chance. It’s highly likely that one of the parties—either the Palestinian Information Center or Ramzy Baroud + the Palestine Chronicle—financially benefit from this setup. There is almost certainly a licensing, syndication, or other written agreement behind it. This would undoubtedly constitute material support for terrorism. Both parties gain from this relationship: Ramzy expands his audience, while the PIC obtains hundreds of articles from a quote-unquote “renowned Palestinian scholar.”
Did Ramzy pay the outlet to publish his pieces? Did the outlet pay him or the Chronicle to run or publish the pieces? Did PIC ever solicit pieces from him? That information remains unknown. At the very least, it adds another disturbing layer to the case, highlighting how terror-tied U.S.-based 501(c)(3) organizations can maintain their tax-exempt status.
As a lawsuit against the Palestine Chronicle by one of the former hostages held by its “journalist” moves forward, it’s crucial to spotlight additional examples of the Palestine Chronicle’s and Ramzy Baroud’s ties to terrorism as they come to light.
According to the Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center (ITIC), the Palestinian Information Center “is a cover name for Internet sites in many languages operated by Hamas,” in which “Hamas invests immense resources.”

Now, if you don’t believe the Palestinian Information Center is Hamas-run because ITIC is an Israeli source, we have Al Jazeera itself describing it as “affiliated with Hamas” and “a government agency” (i.e. Hamas).

The Washington Institute for Near East Policy and the BBC similarly describe it as “Hamas-affiliated,” with the latter also referring to it as “the oldest Hamas-affiliated outlet.”
The U.S.-based global intelligence company Stratfor also describes the PIC as “Hamas-run.”

Can someone please revoke the Chronicle’s 501c3 status already? Why are the American people subsidizing this terror-tied organization with their tax dollars? Better yet, why is it even still operational at all?
